Born and raised in Macy, Nebraska, Cree Griffin is a proud member of the Omaha Tribe and a 2010 valedictorian graduate of Omaha Nation Public School. Inspired by a family legacy of service and a deep respect for veteran leaders, Cree enlisted in the military, gaining diverse experience in technical and operational roles across the globe. Living in Tokyo while serving deepened their appreciation for their Omaha heritage and sparked a passion for cultural preservation.
This journey led them back to the Omaha Tribe in 2019, where they have held several roles, including Community Health Representative and Licensing Specialist. Since April 2024, they have been an Information Technology Support Technician, ensuring the smooth operation of tribal programs, facilitating communication, and contributing to cultural preservation through digital initiatives. Cree is a dedicated IT professional and an active member of the Enrollment Committee and the tribal veterans group, demonstrating a profound commitment to serving their community and preserving the rich traditions of the Omaha Tribe.
