Umoⁿhoⁿ celebrates the beginning of a new year with the coming of the First Thunders. This refers to the first storm that brings a storm strong enough to wake up the animals and shake the house. There was a storm in the Omaha Reservation area that we regard at Mépa Hoⁿga. Happy New Year!
